Another Perspective

Its kind of crazy to try and think from someone else's perspective. As I sit in a quaint cafe in Bedford Virginia, I am surrounded by all types of people. Different ages, ethnicities, styles and backgrounds; but they are all similar in one way - all made in the image of their Creator.

It's so easy for me to get stuck in a self-centered mindset, only able to see the world from my own perspective. But the reality is, there are billions of people on this earth and they all have their own perspective as well.

What would it be like if I attempted to see the world from the perspective of others every now and then? Would it change the way I act? Would I be more intentional with what I say? Would my relationships with people actually grow? I think yes. But what is the best way for us to put ourselves in other people's shoes? Seek to know the One who created them!

The more we learn to know and love our Creator, the more we will be able to know and love those created in His image. I'm challenging myself with this today, I hope you do the same.

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39
